United Pacific Industries takes great pride in our environmental stewardship, and have taken proactive steps to assure our footprint remains as small as possible. Our green initiatives throughout our state-of-the-art 131,912 square-foot warehouse and office resulted in a prestigious LEED Certification for the building.
Our modern facilities include electrical vehicle charging stalls, on-site bicycle storage, showers, and changing areas for company employees. We proudly offer preferred parking for low-emitting, fuel-efficient, and carpool vehicles. Additionally, stormwater is efficiently infiltrated on-site and treated to remove contaminants, significantly reducing the environmental impact on local waterways.
Our facility features rooftop installation of Tesla 300 kW DC solar panels to help power our office and warehouse. We have implemented efficient HVAC equipment and an all-LED lighting system with daylight controls, reducing energy consumption by over 30%. Additionally, enhanced commissioning verifies that the building's energy and water-related systems are performing as intended according to the initial design.
Over 81% of construction and demolition waste was diverted from landfills, and all corrugated cardboard is recycled. We encourage recycling awareness among employees and the community to promote sustainable practices and reduce waste.
In addition to using reclaimed water, drought-tolerant plants and a high-efficiency irrigation system were installed to eliminate the use of potable water for irrigation. High-efficiency water closets, lavatory faucets, and showers were also implemented to reduce annual water use by 30%.
